Duties may include reviewing and analyzing incoming actions to determine adequacy and completeness. Perform market analysis to determine availability of the product or producers/manufacturers. Determine method of procurement. Perform price/cost analysis. Plan and conduct negotiations with the objective of obtaining the best type of contract in order to fulfill government requirements.
Budget Analyst (560)
Duties can include a variety of budgetary functions, such as: performing routine budget administration functions in the formulation, execution, and review of assigned portions of the annual budget; formulating and revising the annual budget estimate for serviced activities; researching, compiling, and summarizing budgetary data; checking accuracy and adequacy of budget justification data submitted in support of budget estimates; and performing designated portions of more complex budgetary assignments under the supervision of senior analysts.
The incumbent of this position will provide professional advice and assistance in the day-to-day operations of the accounting function either individually or with the support of other accounting and support personnel. This is a trainee Accountant position designed to furnish the incumbent with qualifying experience in order to perform successfully in progressively more responsible positions until reaching the target full performance level of GS-12. This position is in the DISA Career Development Intern Program.
Human Resources Specialist (201)
The incumbent will learn a full range of Human Resources functions, to include staffing, position classification, employee relations, and will provide personnel services for several designated organizations within within DISA. Trainees assist senior staff members, may attend joint DoD, Federal and/or public sectors meetings and conferences, and participate in working groups. The individual will work closely with a team leader and/or supervisor on assigned tasks.

The purpose of this developmental position is to perform analytical work concerned with the availability, reliability, maintainability, sustainability and supportability of IT and telecommunications systems. The following duties would be considered typical of this grade level: As an advanced entry-level trainee, the incumbent will assist senior staff members in the planning of acquisition life-cycle supportability of IT systems. Public Affairs Specialist (1035)
The incumbent of this position will serve as an intern with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). As a participant in the DISA intern program, the incumbent will receive formal and informal training, which, along with rotational assignments, are intended to enhance individual technical competencies. Participates as a student intern in a formalized cooperative education training program position performing public affairs work assignments of progressively increasing difficulty and complexity. Participates in preliminary preparation and dissemination of information to the news media, the general public and other audiences.
