SENIOR ENLISTED ADVISOR
Chief Master Sgt. Israel Jaeger is the command senior enlisted advisor for the Joint Force Headquarters - Department of Defense Information Network and the Defense Information Systems Agency. He serves as the principal enlisted leader and adviser to the commander of the JFHQ-DODIN and the director of DISA on force development, personnel utilization, retention and sustainment to meet Defense Department and joint force requirements.

Jaeger drives unified action across the DOD to secure, operate and defend the DODIN. He provides oversight in the establishment of DODIN priorities, threat-informed actions through formal planning and future operational initiatives, and the command and control of daily unified network operations, cybersecurity actions and defensive operations on the DODIN.
Jaeger guides the management of a global network of more than 20,000 service members, civilians and contractors who provide defense communications solutions to the president, the DOD, the secretary of defense, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and combatant commanders.
Prior to joining JFHQ-DODIN/DISA, Jaeger was the senior enlisted adviser for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations at Headquarters, U.S. Air Force. He served as the principal enlisted adviser to the deputy chief of staff for ISR and CEO on force development, career field utilization, retention and sustainment to meet combatant command requirements. He guided policy formulation, planning, evaluation, oversight and leadership for service ISR and CEO capabilities.
Jaeger entered the Air Force in October 1996 as a communications and information systems specialist. His background includes duties within operations support, transportation, Air Force News Agency, munitions support, expeditionary flying training and communications squadrons. He has been assigned to various units in Alaska, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, the Netherlands, Iraq, the Azores, Germany, South Carolina, Qatar and Texas, and has directly supported numerous military operations.
Jaeger received his bachelor’s in world religions from American Military University. His personal decorations include the Legion of Merit (with oak leaf cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (with six oak leaf clusters), Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal (with five oak leaf clusters), Air Force Recognition Ribbon, Humanitarian Service Medal (with two oak leaf clusters) and Nuclear Deterrence Operations Service Medal. His personal awards include the Citation of Honor from the Multi-National Security Transition Command, Iraq; the DOD National Image Meritorious Service award for Headquarters Air Force; and the Information Dominance Cyber Operations Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year award for Headquarters Air Force.
