Imagine deploying a secure, compliant cloud environment in weeks, not months. That's the reality for the 60 customers now using the Defense Information Systems Agency's Department of Defense Cloud Infrastructure as Code. The DISA J-9 Hosting and Compute team is leading the effort and celebrates this milestone as a major leap forward in simplifying and accelerating cloud adoption across the department.

DOD Cloud IaC offers ready-to-use automation, allowing for the rapid setup of DOD-compliant environments pre-authorized by the DISA Risk Management Executive. It's available for all four Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability cloud service providers – AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – at Impact Levels 4, 5, and 6.

The impact is significant. Partners using DOD Cloud IaC report cutting their cloud journey by an average of seven months. To date, DOD agencies have collectively saved an estimated 35 years of turnaround time and $24 million. These savings directly support priorities focused on responsible spending, national modernization and empowering the Warfighter.

DOD Cloud IaC is a valuable tool for streamlining infrastructure deployment, especially for teams facing urgent missions and complex security requirements. By minimizing the time and complexity of establishing secure infrastructure, IaC has become a trusted resource for teams seeking to quickly and confidently operationalize cloud capabilities.
