Jasmine Washington, a computer scientist in DISA’s Requirements and Analysis Office, was one of three employees who spoke to Scholarship for Service students attending the Worchester Polytechnic Institute about the advantages of working at the agency during an educational outreach event Feb. 9.

“I participated in the WPI outreach effort because I want to help SFS students like myself find opportunities at DISA,” Washington said. “I met some very bright and talented individuals available to support DISA's mission, and they had a lot of questions about how to apply for jobs here. I hope this outreach is only the beginning of efforts to recruit and retain next level leaders for the agency.”

A New York native and Pace University graduate with a master’s degree in computer science, Washington transitioned from an SFS summer intern position to a full-time employee in June 2021. She performs the duties of an information technology requirements analyst, or a systems requirements planner according to the DOD Cyber Workforce Framework.

Washington currently supports six mission partner requests for DISA Services Requirements Analyses and is about to take over two more analysis efforts as the lead analyst. She is a participant in the Next Level Leaders Program as well as a member of the Next Level Leaders Council, and helped to build the NLLP SharePoint site.

“Jasmine is an excellent addition to the RAO team and her enthusiasm, genuine curiosity, dedication to the DISA mission, and tireless drive to succeed is a model for all of us,” said Butch Eppenstein, DISA’s Requirements Analysis Section chief. “We are lucky to have her on our team.”
