The Rapid Access Computing Environment (RACE) services that offer virtualized computing resources as a service, provide a user self-service ordering capability for test and development (T&D) environments, and can be purchased on-line and rapidly provisioned are due to sunset in Fiscal Year 2015.
DISA is no longer accepting new RACE customers; however, if customers have T&D requirements they can contact the Cloud Services Branch, email@example.com, or their Customer Management Executive (CME) to aquire T&D services through milCloud.
Existing customers are still able to access all the RACE services through the Cloud Services Management Portal, https://www.milcloud.mil, and can contact their applicable service desk for any required support.
A new T&D service is being developed on milCloud to replace RACE. Mission partners interested in learning more about milCloud should visit the Cloud Services Management Portal at https://milcloud.mil or contact their Mission Partner Engagement Executives.
Rapid Access Computing Environment (RACE) provides a streamlined process for the provisioning and subsequent development; testing; and through the utilization of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Vulnerability Management System (VMS), streamlined certification, accreditation and deployment of applications to a DISA DECC. DISA packages hosting, networking, security, and connectivity together as a service. RACE is available to all our DoD partners as well as their corporate design partners. Users can acquire server capacity rapidly, for short or long-term use, using Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) funding, without the need for capital acquisitions.
