The program provides recuperating service members with meaningful activity outside of the hospital environment and offers a formal means to transition back into the military or civilian workforce. There is no guarantee of employment following the completion of an OWF assignment. Service members released from medical hold status are considered potential candidates for full-time employment pending separation from the military.
Eligibility
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must be Active Duty Military (including the National Guard and Reserves) on medical hold status.
- Must be able to meet security clearance requirements.
Interested candidates may send their resumes and inquiries to a DISA career representative.
