US Army Sgt. Maj. Ashley M. Beasley took the reins as the new senior enlisted leader of the Defense Information Systems Agency Joint Interoperability Test Command during a ceremony at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, Sept. 5.

Beasley succeeds Army Sgt. Maj. James R. Whitcomb, who retired following the change of responsibility. During his tenure, Whitcomb spearheaded the creation of the Quality of Life Council, played a pivotal role in supporting JITC’s mission, and was instrumental in cultivating a culture of collaboration, resilience and professional growth.

Beasley brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served as the executive officer to the commandant at the Non-Commissioned Officer Leadership Center of Excellence at Fort Bliss from 2023-2024.

“I’m thrilled to work with this team and foster a culture of collaboration, respect and continuous improvement,” Beasley said. “We’ll tackle upcoming challenges with determination and a unified purpose.”

As JITC’s senior enlisted leader, Beasley will oversee test and evaluation services across the United States Department of Defense and beyond. She’ll report directly to JITC Commander US Navy Capt. Anthony T. Saxon and collaborate with DISA mission partners, military services and other agencies.

“I’m committed to building on the strong foundation established by Sgt. Maj. Whitcomb,” Beasley said. “Congratulations to him and his family on their well-deserved retirement.”.
Beasley addressed the JITC team, saying, “I’m honored to join this exceptional organization. Our mission of ensuring joint force interoperability is critical, and I’m dedicated to supporting all of you in achieving our goals. Together, we’ll keep innovating, adapting and exceeding expectations.”

She then closed by reciting JITC's motto: “Test, evaluate, dominate!”
