The Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey is an annual organizational climate survey gathering employee feedback on policies, engagement, leadership, and diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. The Office of Personnel Management administers the survey electronically to all eligible civilian employees in the federal government.
In 2024, OPM sent the FEVS to 6,339 eligible DISA civilian employees and 3,233 completed it. DISA’s 51% response rate surpassed the DOD’s 26% rate and the government-wide rate of 41%.
We’re pleased to see strong participation for the second year of the Employee Experience Index and a slight increase in the Performance Confidence Index. The full 2024 FEVS results can be viewed here. Highlights from DISA’s 2024 FEVS Index Scores include:
- Employee Engagement – 76.2%
Measures factors that promote employee engagement, with subindices Leaders Lead, Supervisors and Intrinsic Work Experience.
- Global Satisfaction – 70.8%
Measures satisfaction with four aspects: job, pay, organization, and willingness to recommend the agency as a place to work.
- Performance Confidence - 88.7%
Reflects employees’ confidence in their work unit’s ability to meet goals and produce high-quality work, offering insight into agency performance.
- Employee Experience – 73.5%
Gauges employees’ sense of engagement with their work and the organization.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility – 76.7%
Developed to align with government priorities and Executive Order 14035, this measure includes four subindices: diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
