Government cyber and information technology employees are invited to participate in the 2022 AFCEA TechNet Cyber Symposium. The event will retain the 2021 conference theme, “Partnering to Win - Trust. Velocity. Agility.” into this year’s event to expand on the director’s strategic objectives outlined in the fiscal year 2022-2024 strategic plan.
DISA supports TechNet Cyber as one of the event co-sponsors, which allows the agency to leverage the venue to communicate agency initiatives and further its partnerships among industry, military departments, and other mission partners.
DISA leaders and subject matter experts will provide presentations, theater sessions and breakout networking engagements throughout the three-day event to explain the organization’s roles and responsibilities in driving innovation, delivering solutions, and defending the cyber domain.
DISA leverages TechNet Cyber in its role as the department’s trusted agent for bringing together DOD, federal and industry partners to anticipate and deliver secure, affordable, mission-effective cyber defense and enterprise IT services.
“Mission partners will gain a broader understanding of DISA’s mission and key initiatives to enable enterprise information technology. They can ask questions, network and explore perspectives on agency programs,” said Kashia Simmons, DISA project lead for the 2022 TechNet Cyber event.
This event presents a forum for DISA to collaborate with mission partners and thought leaders across the cyber and IT services domain.
The conference is free to registered government attendees.
The current pandemic environment is quite fluid, and the team is monitoring guidance governing in-person attendance at DOD-hosted conferences and working closely with AFCEA on its guidance for ensuring the safety of personnel. In accordance with event guidance, only vaccinated personnel may attend the conference. All personnel are also required to properly wear a mask and encouraged to physically distance themselves where possible.
