U.S. Army Col. Brent Skinner transferred duties as the commander of the Defense Information Systems Agency Europe Field Command to U.S. Army Col. Diane E. Klein during a change of command ceremony July 7 at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany.

During the ceremony, Air Force Lt. Gen. Robert J. Skinner, DISA director and Joint Force Headquarters-Department of Defense Information Network commander, praised Col. Skinner for his leadership in DISA Europe throughout a global pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“A change of command ceremony says thank you to a great commander, while also welcoming a new commander who can bring new ideas and take the command to the next level,” said DISA Director and JFHQ-DODIN Commander Lt. Gen. Robert J. Skinner.

Being in command is about relationships.

It’s about bringing people together toward a common vision and a common mission to drive success,” Skinner continued as he detailed Klein’s communication and relationship-building skills.
